EASTER THUNDERBALL - SANTA POD

SUNDAY

A good crowd witnessed another good days racing at Santa Pod thankfully in slightly warmer weather than yesterday! There were very few breaks in the racing and all classes fitted in their allotted qualifying sessions. Today saw the first two qualifying rounds in the Pro Fuel shootout, as its most teams first time out this year and as most were running new combinations we were not surprised to see some slower times than would have otherwise been expected. Both the Smiths, Smax and Gordon, put in good passes, Smax running a 5.47 and Gordon a 5.78. In Top Methanol Rob Turner ran a 5.68 and in CCSE Pateman put in a great 8.63 @ 170mph. On two wheels we saw the first pass from Eric Teboul on his rocket bike - a simply stunning site - and Dave Beck running into the 7.2's in Pro Stock.

In all a good day... if the weather holds out tomorrow should be even better.

A few photos from today have been posted below.

A big bang for Bill Sherratt! Notice the burst panel... its next to the Halfords flag!

As well as a damaged crank the window screen was badly cracked.
