EASTER THUNDERBALL - SANTA POD

SATURDAY

After un-seasonable warmth earlier in the week we were struck with un-seasonable cold today! The weather was very cold and windy throughout the day, although luckily the rain that was predicted didn't materialize apart from a few spots. Some racers were still getting back into the swing of things after the winter break but some looked as if they had never been away. Dave Wilson ran some great times in his new chassis, 5.66 @ 253 being his best and Steph Milam ran a best ever 6.67 @ 213. All sportsman classes managed to run three qualifying sessions, finishing at about 7.30pm.

Things are looking good for the pro fuel shootout running tomorrow and Monday. Smax, Carter and Sherratt all warmed their motors this afternoon.

So a good first day of the first meeting of the year... lets hope it warms up a bit by tomorrow though!

The fingers were a bit cold to take too many pictures but a few from the pits and barn (where it was considerably warmer than the bank) are posted below.
