MOPAR EURO NATS - SANTA POD SUNDAY |
||
|
Day two of the Mopar's was even better than the first! An extremely warm day with little breeze brought many people out for the day. The was a healthy crowd on the bank and in the grandstand and a lot more competitors had arrived by this morning. We saw some good action on the track interrupted only once for and oil down at the top end. The burnout competition was, as last year, a highlight for us. Phil Caswell was the winner in his High Tension Camaro. We said we would bring you news of a new race car and here it is... Mick Payne was here debuting a blown methanol doorslammer. Mick is not sure what class to run in yet but hopes to get the car to run mid-eights. Mick put in a few observed runs today and him and the car seemed to be getting along well. The 'Show and Shine' area had filled up with lots of beautiful cars over night... take a look at a few shots below. All in all a very enjoyable weekend for spectators and racers alike. The event is very well organized and provides plenty of off and on track action. Roll on next year... We've posted a few photos below... if your car is not there chances are we did take a photo of it... email us with the details and we will sort them out for you. |
