		MAIN EVENT - SANTA POD SATURDAY Back To Event Home

	Great weather, great racing and a great day...what more could you ask for. The racing started just after 9 am and went on till 8ish with only a few delays for oil downs and when Super Pro racer Paul Davies went into the field and rolled in the shutdown area. He was ok and the car is repairable. Some of the highlights were, in Top Methanol Dragster Dave Wilson ran 5.99/196, and in Top Methanol Funny Car Kagarad and Andreasson both ran in the 5.8’s. The best race of the day was in Top Fuel, Andy Carter ran so close to the 300 mph at 297 with a time of 5.07, in the other lane Kim Reymond ran 5.08/257. Micke Kagarad was shut down with a fuel leak after the burnout, the car sounded awesome and would have run a good time. Susanne Callin gained her licence with a fantastic 5.55/179 shutting of well early. Barry Sheavills and Daryl Bradford did not show. With more qualifying tomorrow and the first runs from the 4 Nitro Funny Cars it looks like another good day to come. Today's coverage was sponsored by Midland Automatic Transmissions and 1stCameras.
