MAIN EVENT - SANTA POD

MONDAY
Back To Event Home

Another great days racing at the Pod ended what will surely be remembered as a ‘classic’ meeting. The weather was not quite so good today as yesterday but it stayed fine apart from one small shower. The Top Fuel cars ran superbly yet again, Andy Carter backed up his ET record set yesterday with a 5.92 and Barry Sheavills ran another 300, which was backed up, by his run yesterday to become a new record. In the final Carter met Reymond. Carter was ahead of Reymond for the length of the track but a huge explosion just before the finish line allowed Reymond to sneak in and grab the win with his first ever 4. Spuffard took the win in Nitro Funny car with a 5.38.

All in all a fantastic 3 days of racing. We will be producing a report giving more details of what went on within the next week or so.

The weekends coverage was sponsored by Midland Automatic Transmissions and 1stCameras. Thanks for your support guys! Please support these companies because without their help we couldn't do what we do.

We have posted a few pictures below. They were all taken using our new camera supplied by 1stCameras. Hope you enjoy the results.
