FIA EUROPEAN FINALS - SANTA POD SUNDAY |
||
|
What a great days racing today, the weather was dry and sunny until it
rained just after the last Pro final and the crowd was huge most of which
must of gone home very impressed with the days action. The day started on a
downer when in the first round of Top Fuel Micke Kagarad crashed after a
4.97/282 run against Daryl Bradford, the engine and rear end went one way
and the cage with Micke in went into the field. After Micke was removed from
the car he was taken to hospital and although said to be ok he is being kept
in overnight for observation again this shows just how well the safety
features on these cars work. In the Top Fuel final the new FIA champion won
with a 5.16/284 over Sussane Callin who ran 5.69/170. Overall a great day
and a great weekends racing and in our opinion the best motor racing you
will see in the UK.
We plan to produce a full report of the meeting within a week or so. Thanks for reading our coverage this weekend, we hope you have enjoyed it. Many thanks to our sponsors for this weekend who have been www.quartermilekit.com and www.1stcameras.com. Thanks guys, we couldn't do it without you. Gary & Phil Cottingham |

Oh dear! There is not a lot left of Barry Sheavills top fueller after his top end crash yesterday.

Ulf Leanders suffered far more damage than we first thought. This horrific body damage was caused by a slick explosion last night.

Micke Kagered moments before his terrible top end crash.

Reymond and Moller in the first round of Top Fuel. Reymond ran 5.13 against Mollers 5.47.
