FIA EUROPEAN FINALS - SANTA POD FRIDAY |
||
| The FIA season finale was kicked off
in style today with a log and exciting days racing. The action on the
track started at 9.15am this morning and was still going at gone 9pm
tonight. On the whole the weather was slightly better than predicted. A
small shower held up proceedings for a short time around lunchtime and
racing was affected by some drizzle this evening... more of that later.
The were quite a few stoppages for breakages and oil downs during the day. Racing was held up for about 30minutes when Freddy Fagerstrom got out of shape at the top end in his Pro Mod truck and hit the wall. We are happy to report that Freddy is unhurt. Top Fuel - Peter Lantz ran a great solo 5.05 after Bradford could not get reverse. Susanne Callin was shut down on the line because it started to rain. The rain then stopped an Kagered and Moller were brought forward. Just as they were pulling into pre stage it started to rain again and despite the protests from the crews chief starter Ian Marshall had no choice but to shut the cars down. However all 3 cars were refired once the drizzle had passed over. Moller shut off very early, Callin ran a great pedaling 5.40 and Kagered pedaled his way to a nice 5.21. Sheavills ran a 6.91 against Reymond 11.73. That's about all have got time to write tonight. Please find a few photos below and don't forget to tune in tomorrow night for more news form the 'Pod... lets hope the weather holds...
