THE MOPAR EURO NATIONALS
SATURDAY

We only got to the track at about 1.30pm today but we had a fantastic afternoon. Just after we arrived it poured with rain for about 30 minutes. The track crew soon got to work drying the track and racing resumed at about 3pm. There was some good close racing during the afternoon interrupted by only 2 oil downs. Some nice muscles cars were on show and some great burnouts were performed on the track. However the highlight of the afternoon was being invited into the tower by Race Director Darren Prentice. So what... its only a wooden tower you may think.... except he invited us in when the FireFore2 Jet Funny Car was running!! I have never been so scared in my life!! The tower moves from side to side by about 2 inches either way every time he hits the afterburner!! Absolutely amazing!!
