EASTER THUNDERBALL - SANTA POD

SUNDAY

Qualifying started at about 10.30 after the track was dried due to a rain shower. A strong, cold breeze was blowing across the track which forced the top bike classes to run byes in the spectator lane. In the pro fuel shootout Spuffard soled after Smith could not fire and ran 6.01 - 189 (207 at the 1/8) backing off during the run. Andy Carter and Barry Sheavills faced up next but were shut off just as Carter finished his burnout due to drizzle. Ten minutes later both cars launched hard.. Sheavills running 6.51 at 128 shutting off early and Carter 9.46 at 92 which was a planned 60ft only. Gordon Smith then ran solo after fixing his earlier problem running 6.53 at 150 again shutting off early. Heavy rain at 13.15 and then further showers has prevented any further racing today.

See you all tomorrow.... Phil and Gary
