MONDAY

Another cold day but, luckily, with only a few light spells of drizzle. In the Pro Fuel shootout Sheavills ran 8.87 - 56 and Spuffard 12.01 - 85. Both went up in smoke off of the line in the cold conditions. Next pair and Carter ran 8.47 - 98 whilst Smith ran through drifting close to the wall before twice getting back on the throttle with the chutes fully out. In the final Spuffard beat Carter again both up in smoke but determined to win Spuffard got back on the throttle to run 8.12 at 179 clearly far too much power for the cold track. 

In the Top Methanol final Rob Turner beat Dave Wilson 5.99 to a losing 6.01 in the best race of the day.
